Indian destination weddings in Thailand are dreamy—but I’ve seen too many couples cry over pixelated photos or miss sacred moments because they overlooked these 3 things. (Don’t let it be you!)
❌ The Mistake: Assuming golden hour magically happens at 4PM. Thailand’s sun is brutal—washed-out faces, harsh shadows.
💡 Your Fix:
Demand a photographer who scouts locations at your exact wedding time.
Ask: “Show me a midday shoot you’ve done in Thailand.” (If they wince, run.)
Pro Tip: Book a sunset pheras—it’s 1000x more cinematic.
❌ The Mistake: Choosing the cheapest photographer who promises “800+ photos!” (Spoiler: 790 will be unusable.)
💡 Your Fix:
Prioritize quality over quantity. Ask: “How many edited images do I get?” (50 stunning > 500 mediocre.)
Look for culling skills: “Do you deliver every blink/sneeze, or just the magic?”
Pro Tip: Request a full wedding gallery—not just highlights.
❌ The Mistake: Hiring a generic “destination photographer” who misses:
The significance of saat pheras (key moments need close-ups).
Family dynamics (who’s actually important in group shots).
Cultural taboos (e.g., no shoes near mandap).
💡 Your Fix:
Ask: “Have you shot a full Hindu/Sikh/Indian Christian wedding?”
Demand a shot list that includes: Haldi drips, sindoor close-ups, bidaai tears.
Pro Tip: Find someone who speaks “aunty” (aka: can herd relatives politely)
(Most couples forget this until it’s too late!)
Videographers need 2x more time for cinematic shots.
Sunset photos require buffer time (Thai traffic is unpredictable).
🚨 Must-ask:“Can you share a sample wedding day timeline you’ve planned?”
